Article form

  1. The first page of the article should include: the Slovene and English title of the article, the author's (or authors’) name(s) and surname(s), their full academic and professional title(s), the full address of the institution employing the author(s) (or an address where they can receive mail), and the e-mail address.
  2. The title should summarise in a concise manner the key elements of the article and should not exceed 80 characters.
  3. The second page should include a brief abstract of the article in Slovene and English not exceeding 150 words. The abstract should be a summary of the content and not a mere listing of the key contents of the article. The abstract of the research report should briefly introduce the research purpose, the main characteristics of the research, the main findings, and the crucial conclusions of the research.
  4. The two abstracts should be followed by a list of key words (in Slovene and the foreign language).
  5. The text of the article should commence on the third page. The articles should not exceed 20 pages (or 35,000 characters with spaces). In the opposite case, the authors should divide the articles into two or more sequels or consult the editor about the length of the article.
  6. The authors should divide the content of the article in a logical and clear manner. The titles and subtitles of single chapters should not be numbered (1.0, 1.1, 1.1.1). The article may be divided into no more than two levels, namely the title and subtitle(s). A frequent use of subtitles is advised, yet there should only be one level per each subtitle (a single subtitle should not be further divided into subtitles). Subtitles should be written in bold and lower-case letters (the initial words, however, must be capitalised). Research articles should include the following chapters: Introduction, Research purpose, Methods, Findings, and Conclusions.
  7. The tables should be introduced in the part of the text to which they belong. Each table should be comprehensible and clear without further descriptions and explanations. The table title should explain the content of the table. Additional explanations may be added to give the reader a chance to understand the table without reading the rest of the text. The legend should state the data source and clarify the units of measure and the possible abbreviations. All the fields of the table must be filled in. In case a data value equals zero, is considered negligible, or if data does not exist, this has to be clearly marked. If the data are expressed in percentage (%), the base unit has to be clearly defined (what does 100% mean).
  8. Schemes, diagrams, and photos should be presented on separate pages which are marked on the reverse side with numbers following the same sequence as they appear in the text. Their position within the text should be marked by a horizontally oriented arrow at the left margin with the respective number written on it. With potentially vague cases, the author should mark the upper and lower part and state the title of the article to which such content belongs. The size of these items should be at least the same as their publication size. The contrast of the drawings should be as high as possible. The graphs should have the x- and y-axis, a mark on the upper side denoting the data represented, and the unit of measure stated in brackets.
  9. We discourage authors from using italics, bold and CAPITAL LETTERS for specific marking of the text. Instead, italics should be used to mark quotations from the researchers, possible slang words, specific technical terminology etc.
