Povzetek

Besedilo obravnava problem izključenosti romskih otrok iz izobraževalnega sistema. Konkreten primer približno dvesto otrok iz romskega naselja Deponija (Beograd, Srbija) osnovnošolske starosti, ki niso obiskovali pouka, je proučevan po metodološki strategiji akcijskega raziskovanja. Glavni cilj raziskovanja, ki je bilo realizirano v šolskih letih 2001/02 in 2002/03, je bil, da je treba vključiti čim več teh otrok v osnovno šolo in jim omogočiti, da dosežejo vsaj dober šolski uspeh kot zadovoljiv. V središču prispevka je analiza najbolj očitnih pojavov in dogodkov, ki so pomenili oviro za pristop k šoli, učenju in socialni participaciji romskih otrok, ter seveda tudi dejavnosti, prek katerih naj bi se te ovire premagale. Rezultati realiziranega raziskovanja kažejo, da je uresničen fizični in izobraževalni vidik inkluzije. Zaključki povzemajo ovire za inkluzijo – nesprejemanje romskih otrok in staršev v šolskem okolju, neprilagojenost učne prakse izobraževalnim potrebam romskih otrok, revščina in prepričanje, da šolanje ni pomembno za prihodnost otrok; ter opore za inkluzijo – razvoj kulture sprejemanja romskih otrok v šolskem okolju, učinkovito učenje in krepitev samospoštovanja romskih otrok, motiviranost romskih staršev za vpis, spremljanje in podporo šolanja.

Abstract

This article discusses the problem of the Romani children being excluded from the education system. It is focused on the case of around 200 school-age children in the Romani settlement Deponija (Belgrade, Serbia) who did not attend school. The research method applied is the strategy of action research. The aim of the research study carried out in academic years 2001/02 and 2003/04 was to find solutions to include as many of these children as possible in the primary school and to assist them to achieve at least satisfactory school results. The article is an analysis of the most obvious phenomena and events which could present obstacles to their school attendance, learning and social participation, and of the activities which could lead to the removal of these obstacles. The results of this research study show that the physical and educational aspect of inclusion have been realised. In conclusion, the article sums up the obstacles to inclusion – non-acceptance of the Romani children and their parents in the school environment, school programs not adapted to the needs of the Romani children; poverty and belief that school is not important for the children’s future; and the issues which support inclusion, such as the development of a culture more accepting of the Romani children in the school environment, effective learning, strengthening of the Romani children’s self-respect, building up the Romani parents’ motivation to enrol their children in school, and to encourage and support their learning.

Povzetek

Vzgojni ukrep nadzorstvo organa socialnega varstva se izreka mladoletnim storilcem kaznivih dejanj z namenom prevzgoje in nudenja pomoči. V članku so prikazani rezultati raziskave o pojmovanju in izvajanju ukrepa NOSV ter primerjava teh z rezultati podobne raziskave, ki je bila opravljena pred 40 leti. Podani so tudi predlogi za nove oblike dela in nadaljnji razvoj tega ukrepa.

Abstract

Educational measure 'Supervision by Social Assistance Authority' is decreed to juvenile delinquent in order to re-educate them and to provide assistance. This article presents the results of a research study on the understanding and application of this educational measure, and a comparison of these results with the results of a similar study conducted 40 years ago. The article also proposes a number of new approaches and examines the future trends.

Ob izpovedih obsojenk z izkušnjo zasvojenosti z nedovoljenimi drogami Stories of convicted female criminals on their drug addiction

Povzetek

Članek vznika iz intervjujev z obsojenkami, ki so v zaporu v povezavi z uporabo drog. Kvalitativno obdelano vsebino pogovorov avtor izbere kot empirično osnovo za premislek o subjektivnih in objektivnih položajih in perspektivah sogovornic, o slovenski penologiji, o problemih z drogo v sodobnem času ter o spremembah, ki so potrebne tudi na nivoju širših družbenih struktur. Ugotavlja, da programi pomoči od droge odvisnim obsojenkam še niso dovolj razviti, kar povezuje tudi z odnosi in vzdušjem v našem edinem ženskem zaporu.

Abstract

The article is based on the interviews with convicted female criminals who found themselves imprisoned on drug related charges. The interviews are processed by qualitative method and then used as the basis for a discussion about the subjective and objective situations and perspectives, about the Slovenian penal system, about drug related problems in our time and the changes needed in the wider social context. The author of the article concludes that the aid programs for convicted drug addicts have not been satisfactorily developed and underpins his conclusion with the relations and atmosphere in the only female prison in Slovenia.

Povzetek

Prispevek nakaže, da droge njihovega uporabnika ne zaprejo nujno v svobodo omejujočo celico, da je ženski spol v sodobni družbi svojevrsten zapor in odvisnost ter da sodobni zapor moškega spola in obenem škodljiva droga par excellence. Zavzema se za družbo, v kateri uporaba drog ne bo le ena redkih dosegljivih opcij (ali celo nujnost) posameznikove prilagoditve na življenjski položaj oz. v kateri bo morebitno uživanje drog lahko (varna) uporaba (in le po resnično avtonomni izbiri tudi “zloraba”).

Abstract

This article maintains that drugs do not necessarily lock the user up in a freedom-restricting cell, that the female sex in the society today is a kind of prison in itself and an addiction, and that prison today is male and a dangerous addiction par excellence. The article promotes a society in which taking drugs will not be one of very few accessible options (or even necessities) for an individual to adjust to his/her life situation, or rather, in which potential drug taking can will only be (safe) use (and ‘abuse’ only by truly autonomous choice).

Stres pri strokovnih delavcih v vzgojnoizobraževalnih in prevzgojnih zavodih Stress of employees in educational and residential treatment institutions

Povzetek

Prispevek predstavlja delo socialnega pedagoga z mladimi po travmatski poškodbi možganov. Statistični podatki o možganskih poškodbah po svetu namreč kažejo, da postaja omenjena problematika tiha epidemija današnjega časa. Osvetljuje najpogostejše vzroke poškodb in posledice, ki korenito spremenijo življenje poškodovanca in njegove družine. V nadaljevanju se osredotoča predvsem na vedenjske in osebnostne težave, ki so žarišče dela socialnega pedagoga tako na individualni kot tudi skupinski ravni. Del socialnopedagoškega programa je usmerjen tudi v delo s starši, ki so nepogrešljiv člen v rehabilitaciji svojega bližnjega, ki je utrpel možgansko poškodbo. Preventivni program je usmerjen predvsem v najbolj rizično skupino – mladostnike – in v splošno osveščanje javnosti, saj se družba še vedno premalo zaveda problematike poškodb glave.

Abstract

This article presents the work of a social pedagogue with young people after brain injury. Statistic data on brain injury around the world shows that these problems have become a silent epidemic of our world today. It highlights the most frequent reasons for brain injury and its consequences which usually entirely change the injured person and his/her family’s life. It focuses on the behavioural and personality problems which are at the core of the social pedagogue’s work both when working one-to-one basis and in groups. Part of the program includes work with the parents who are one of the key elements in the rehabilitation of the person who has had brain injury. The preventative program is aimed at the group most at risk, young people, and at keeping the general public informed as the society is still not fully aware of the problems related to head injuries.
