Aims and Scope

Published since 1997, the Journal Social Pedagogy contains scientific and professional articles from the field of social pedagogy and other sciences, such as psychology, sociology, pedagogy, etc. It is the policy of the journal to represent a wide range of material on social pedagogy from different countries.

The scope of the journal is to foster the development of the profession and to promote social pedagogy at home and abroad. Moreover, the journal attempts to achieve a wide interdisciplinarity and to interweave sciences and professions. For this purpose, it is open to a wide variety of domestic and foreign experts. Each issue is prepared by a team of co-workers from the Department of Social Pedagogy at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana.

The editorial board is comprised of experts from nine countries. Since 1997 the magazine has grown and evolved steadily. The English language issues have brought it into the international spotlight. Each year a special thematic edition is published, wherein authors from various disciplines shed light on a particular subject.

Journal Social Pedagogy is published by Association for Social Pedagogy and co-funded by Slovenian Research Agency.

Full-text articles are available from 1997 to the present.
