Povzetek

Članek prinaša pregled feminističnih gibanj in jih med seboj primerja glede na njihovo umeščenost v širši družbeni kontekst. Opredeli populacije, ki so v zgodnjih obdobjih feminizma ostale spregledane, s posebnim poudarkom na priseljenih ženskah, pripadnicah nižjega socialno ekonomskega sloja. Slednje razume kot skupino, katere položaj so zaobšla tako ženska, kot tudi antiksenofobična gibanja ter kot skupino, ki se nahaja na presečišču različnih sistemov zatiranja. Ukvarja se z vprašanjem, ali ženska, ki se seli v smeri od patriarhalnega proti neo-kapitalističnemu načinu izkoriščanja, s tako selitvijo dejansko izboljša svoj družbeni položaj. Sklene z razmišljanji o možnostih skupinske mobilizacije v družbeni strukturi manj močnih skupin, posebej še obravnavanih, pa tudi drugih.

Abstract

The article reviews the feminist movements and compares them in regard to their position in the broader social context. It also defines the groups that had been overlooked in the early stages of feminist thought, particularly the group of immigrant women of the lower socio economic classes. In the article, they are seen as a group overlooked by both the feminist and anti xenophobic movements as they find themselves under multiple systems of repression. The question is whether the woman who migrates from the patriarchal to the neo-capitalist exploitation has indeed gained a better social status. The writer ends the article considering the possibilities of mobilizing such marginal groups in the existing social structure.

Kondenzacijska jedra - osnova za grajenje skupnosti Condensation nucleus - basis for community building

Povzetek

Na podlagi konkretnega primera delovanja v skupnosti avtorja ugotavljata, kaj je značilno za dinamiko, ki povezuje posameznike v skupnost. Tvorjenje skupnosti je samoorganizacijski proces in spominja na fizikalne procese, zato kohezivni dejavnik, ki omogoči vznik skupnosti, imenujeta kondenzacijsko jedro. Kondenzacijsko jedro se lahko kaže navzven kot skupni interes. Če je skupnost usmerjena v kratkotrajno uresničljiv cilj, lahko pričakujemo, da bo obstajala le kratek čas, če pa se vzpostavi povratna zanka, ki je lahko notranja ali zunanja, to povzroči obnavljajočo se zvezo, ki omogoča dolgotrajnost skupnosti. Avtorja opozarjata, da je nujno upoštevati tako kondenzacijska jedra, povratne zanke, kot tudi smer, v katero si skupnost želi, ne glede na strokovnjakove interese in cilje; v nasprotnem primeru je strokovnjakovo delovanje usmerjeno proti skupnosti. Delo s skupnostjo je večplastno in kompleksno in zahteva stalno samorefleksijo.

Abstract

On the basis of a concrete case of working in a community the article presents the characteristics of the dynamics that bond individuals into a community. The process of establishing a community is a self-organising process resembling certain physical processes, which is the reason why the cohesive factor enabling the emergence of a community is designated as 'condensation nucleus'. The condensation nucleus can manifest itself as a common interest. If the community is directed towards a goal solvable in a relatively short time, it can also be expected to exist for a limited period only. But if a feedback mechanism, that can be either internal or external, emerges, it creates a recursively restoring union allowing for long-term stability of the community. The article emphasizes the importance of taking into account condensation nuclei, feedback mechanisms and directions that the community wishes to take, regardless of the interests and goals of the expert; otherwise his activity conflicts with the interests of the community. Working with a community is a complex and manifold activity demanding constant self-reflection.

Droge in kriminal: kritičen razmislek o njuni zvezi Drugs and crime: a critical look at their interconnections

Povzetek

Avtorica obravnava zvezo med drogami in kriminalom, ki se kaže v stereotipu uživalca drog kot kriminalca. V uvodu prikaže modele, ki narekujejo podobo uživalca drog in ki vplivajo na zaznavanje uživanja drog v javnosti. Zbere in primerja vrsto raziskav, ki bolj ali manj utemeljeno dokazujejo ali ugotavljajo zvezo med kriminalom in drogami. Ob tem je pozorna na razlage in nedoslednosti pri raziskovanju pojava. Posebej se ustavi pri trgu z drogami in dilanju kot nečem, čemur se ni mogoče izogniti, če posameznik želi nabaviti prepovedano drogo. Posebno pozornost nameni načinom in virom, s katerimi se običajno financira uživanje, saj v javnosti velja, da uživanje drog sili ljudi v nenadzorovana in nepredvidljiva dejanja, ki naj bi bila posledica hlepenja po drogi. Ugotovi, da si rezultati raziskav nasprotujejo, da se posledice prohibicije in z njo kriminalizacije ljudi, ki uživajo droge, prikriva s statistikami o kaznivih dejanjih uživalcev drog in da imajo uživalci drog pomembno vlogo pri ustrahovanju družbe.

Abstract

The author of this article takes a closer look at the popular connection between drugs and crime which manifests itself in the addict cum criminal cliché. First, the writer presents the models which define the addict's image and influence the public opinion on drugs. She further lists and compares a number of research papers which have addressed the connection between drugs and crime. She observes there is a range of interpretations and inconsistencies in the research. In the article, a special attention is paid to the drug market and to the contact with the dealer which has to be established if an individual wants to purchase illegal drugs. Another area of attention is the various ways and sources addicts use to finance their addiction, considering that the public opinion assumes that addictions drive addicts to uncontrollable and unpredictable acts. The writer concludes that the research results are contradicting; the consequences of prohibition and subsequent crime are veiled by statistics on crime committed by addicts while addicts at the same time are being used as a powerful tool of keeping the general public in fear.

Ulica - izhodišče vzgojnih procesov Street - a starting point of educational processes

Povzetek

Prispevek se ukvarja s pomenom vzgoje v postmoderni družbi in ugotavlja, da se glede na spremenjena izhodišča dojemanja družbene stvarnosti ponovno zastavlja vprašanje, kako učinkovito na novo strukturirati vzgojne procese. Osredotoča se na mladinsko ulično vzgojo. Avtorica namreč ugotavlja, da je ulica privzela pomemben del vzgojne funkcije, ki je v preteklosti pripadala družini in, v manjšem obsegu, šoli. Vzgojni vpliv, ki ga je pridobila ulica, je sicer neformalen, vendar ne obroben. Mladih na ulici ne smemo viktimizirati, ampak je ulici treba priznati svojevrsten vzgojni potencial. Avtorica poudari štiri vidike, ki bi jih morali upoštevati programi mladinskega uličnega dela: središčnost mladostnika v vzgojnem procesu, pomembnost življenjske izkušnje mladostnika, naloga projektov mladinske ulične vzgoje, da sooblikujejo javno mnenje ter soustvarjajo mladim naklonjene politiko.

Abstract

This article deals with issues concerning the significance of education in the post-modern society; it comes to the conclusion that a question is again being raised how to newly structure educational processes in an effective way with regard to the changed starting-points of the perception of social reality. The article focuses on the problems of youth street education. The author states that the street has taken over an important part of the educational function, which in the past used to belong to the family and to a smaller extent to schools. The educational influence attained by the street is quite informal, however it should not be underestimated. Youngsters in the street should not be stigmatized, the street should rather be acknowledged as having a unique educational function. The author emphasises four points of view that should be taken into consideration by programmes of youth street work: the central role of the adolescent in the process of education, the importance of the life experience of the adolescent, the task of projects of youth street education in helping to create public opinion as well as to establish a policy that is favourable to young people.
